MYSQL installation step on Linux using RPM packages

MySQL is one of the best RDBMS being used for developing web-based software applications. It’s very easy to learn and maintained.
The purpose of writing this tutorials will help you to quick start with Mysql

Download Mysql tar file from valid sources. The recommended way to install MySQL on a Linux system is via RPM
Now, follow the following steps to proceed for installation:
• Login to the system using root user.
• Switch to the directory containing the RPMs:
• Install the MySQL database server by executing the following command
In my case Mysql installation tar file is located in Remote machine first I copied installation file from remote machine.
Login Remote machine where is Mysql instillation file locate.

Ssh root@xx.xx.xx.xx
[root@udaandb abc]# rsync -avzp mysql5.5.30rpm.tar.gz  root@xx.xx.xx.xx:/home/abc;
Unzip tar file using following command
[root@udaan01 abc]# tar xvf mysql5.5.30rpm.tar.gz ;

Now installing the MYSQL

[root@udaan01 MySQL Server 5.5.30 for RHEL 5-64 Bit]# rpm -ivh MySQL*
 [root@udaan01 ~]# service mysql start
