Download Mysql tar file from valid sources. The recommended way to install MySQL on a Linux system is via RPM
Now, follow the following steps to proceed for installation:
• Login to the system using root user.
• Switch to the directory containing the RPMs:
• Install the MySQL database server by executing the following command
In my case Mysql installation tar file is located in Remote machine first I copied installation file from remote machine.
Login Remote machine where is Mysql instillation file locate.
Ssh email@example.com [root@udaandb abc]# rsync -avzp mysql5.5.30rpm.tar.gz firstname.lastname@example.org:/home/abc; Unzip tar file using following command [root@udaan01 abc]# tar xvf mysql5.5.30rpm.tar.gz ;
Now installing the MYSQL
[root@udaan01 MySQL Server 5.5.30 for RHEL 5-64 Bit]# rpm -ivh MySQL* [root@udaan01 ~]# service mysql start
